Cultural Academy for Peace and the Department of Women and Child Development conducted a one-day seminar on ‘Women’s Safety’ at Korumkotta Island. Cheranelloor Grama Panchayat President Sri KG Rajesh inaugurated the event and lauded the Cultural Academy for recognizing the pain and problems of the islanders. District Assistant Collector Sri Sachin Kumar Yadav IAS was the chief guest at the function and he assured about taking necessary steps for fulfilling their necessities when the islanders submitted their petitions for their fundamental needs. Smt. Sarala V C who is an Anganwadi teacher of the one and only institution on the island was honored by esteemed District Assistant Collector Sri Sachin Kumar Yadav IAS for her hard work and strong involvement in the development of the island. Chairperson of the Cultural Academy for Peace, Mrs. Beena Sebastian, Former Chief Commissioner of Income Tax Adv. Susie Varghese, Women and Child Development Department District Officer Smt. Premna Manoj Shankar, District Woman Protection Officer Smt. Deepa M. S, Ward Member Smt. Vincy Davis, Cultural Academy for Peace Legal Counsellor Adv. Justeena Mariam Joseph led the one-day seminar.
