In collaboration with the Cultural Academy for Peace and Sree Sudheendra Medical Mission Hospital, an awareness session was organized in relation with World Cancer Day, on February 9, 2024, at the Shanthibhavan Auditorium. The program, titled “Know Your Body for Early Detection of Cancer,” was specifically tailored for women in society. Dr. Angela Elisabeth Eapen, a clinical oncologist and member of the Karkinos group, conducted an insightful session, guiding the attendees on the importance of understanding their bodies for early cancer detection. The Presidential Address was delivered by Ms. Beena Sebastian, the Founder Chairperson of the Cultural Academy, and the Keynote Address was presented by Dr. S.D. Singh, a Consultant Psychiatrist at Sree Sudheendra Medical Mission Hospital.

The session aimed to empower women with knowledge about preventive measures and early detection of cancer. Following the presentation, a lively Q&A session allowed participants to engage directly with the speaker. The feedback received was overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the effectiveness of the session in clarifying doubts and providing valuable information. This session has successfully facilitated an informative and impactful event, contributing to the community’s awareness and understanding of cancer-related issues.
